Acai is a small berry with dark purple drupe. Acai is commonly pronounced as “a-sigh-ee”.  Acai also known as Acai fruit is supposed to be originated from one of the several palms in South America. It has a large seed and minimum amount of pulp and now this fruit is widely used as an important ingredient in energy boasting juices, ice creams and many antioxidants.


The Acai fruit is known for its high concentration of antioxidants. A major portion of Acai fruit is harvested for their juices.  This juice comes into markets with different names such as, Acai Juice, Acai Drink, Acai Berry Juice, Acai fruit juice, Acai berry drinks and few more. For over many years Acai has been taken as a fruit which not only boast energy, but also known as stamina builder. The taste of Acai fruit is sometimes compared with the combination of ripe berries and bittersweet chocolate.

Acai fruit is famous for several of its properties. It boasts up the energy 10 times more than the energy derived from grapes and 2 times more than derived from blue berries. Acai fruit can also be taken as multi vitamin as it contains several important minerals and provides almost all vital vitamins needed by our body. Acai also helps to reduce diabetes.
